• Virgin fiber (sustainably harvested from the forest for the first time using third-party certified practices) is as environmentally sound as recycled fiber
There are limitations to the use of recycled fiber:
• Only one-third of paper used in North America is collected for recycling, there just isn’t enough recycled fiber available to meet demand.
• Generally, fiber can be recycled no more than five to seven times, making the input of virgin fiber into the paper stream essential.
